The Box

The work is called The Box and is for a show in The Museum of Modern Art in Sydney, Australia... it is a box standing on the floor by a wall... for 3 minutes it is silent and nothing happens which is good since it is a groupshow and lots of other things need attention in the room. Then suddenly the box erupts... with the help of video projection it looks like things are flying out of the box... like balls that swobbely fly out of it and explode with a smoke (film effects) and appropriate or inappropriate sounds...

Like you see perhaps then it is in sequence with older works such as You Take all My Time, Brjalrl, The Sofa, Mr Piano & Mrs Pile and The Wall. But I also like to work in other mediums such as painting and drawing and working with music and sound directly...
